Care beyond the bathroom
Brushing twice daily with a specially formulated sensitivity toothpaste with fluoride, like those in the Sensodyne® range, is one of the most effective ways to manage tooth sensitivity and help keep your teeth and gums healthy. However, there are other ways you can manage your sensitivity.
- Don’t skip checkups Make an appointment to see your dentist if you haven’t been in the last 6 months.
- Prevent teeth grinding If you know you grind your teeth or if you feel discomfort in your teeth when you wake up in the morning, ask your dentist about it as soon as you can.
Enjoying your favourite food and drinks
Over time, acidic foods and drinks can contribute to enamel erosion and tooth wear. These include fruit and fruit juices, carbonated drinks, black coffee or tea, wine, and anything that tastes sharp, like ketchup or salad dressing. If you're at risk of acid wear, ask your dentist about the best ways to have acidic food and drinks.
